• The core JotAha app works without an account and stores the library locally.
• The free tier uses Google AdMob; the ads SDK may process advertising identifiers and app interactions.
• Saved URLs may be requested from their public host to build a rich preview.
• Optional Pro sync stores account and library data in the cloud only after you opt in.
• Optional on-device AI downloads a model; inference runs locally.
• No tracking or advertising cookies on jotaha.com, and no account is required to use the core app.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the JotAha mobile application and jotaha.com website. Contact: [email protected].

2. Local-first use

You can use capture, organisation and search without creating an account. Saved items, categories, tags, collections, notes, reminders and recent searches are stored in the local application database.

3. Link previews

When you save a URL, JotAha may request the public page or platform metadata to retrieve a title, description, image or author. The destination host receives the normal network request required to provide that content.

4. Advertising

The free tier uses Google AdMob. Google may process device or advertising identifiers and app interactions for advertising, fraud prevention and measurement according to Google policies. You can limit ad personalisation or reset your advertising ID in Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads), and JotAha Pro removes advertising from the app entirely.

5. Optional account, sync and sharing

If you enable Pro cloud features, your email address, saved library content and the minimum technical data required for sync and private sharing are stored with our cloud provider. Shared collections are visible only to invited participants and are not public.

6. Optional local AI

The larger on-device AI model is downloaded only when you request it. Saved content is processed on the device for summaries and classification. The model host receives the download request, not the content being analysed.

7. Notifications and permissions

Notification permission is used for link reminders and, for signed-in users, sharing notifications. Internet access supports previews, ads, model downloads and optional sync.

8. Retention and deletion

Local content can be deleted in the app or by uninstalling it. Signed-in users can delete synced content and account data through the available account controls. Backups you export remain under your control.

9. Security and changes

Network connections use HTTPS. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure. Material policy changes will be reflected on this page with a new update date.
